I am a recent dialysis patient, started 22nd july. I had known for 18 months it was coming but its still a shock!!
I have a fistula in my left arm at the elbow but it needs another op again as it is not playing along very well. I have diabetes and this has also affected the nerves in my eyes, feet and autonomic system leading to postural hypotension so i get dizzy standing up.
I am also always very cold, moreso on diaylsis, even though i take a throw and a hoodie i am still cold, the hoodie sits on top of the growth as it obviously cant be worn and wearing a tshirt and having a bare arm exposed doesnt help, i shake through each session at times. Its something ive never expected as i have a lot of lets say "natural insulation"
